Struggles in Weight Loss

Well, friends.... I have to say, and I don't mean to whine, but weight loss is difficult for a foodie! I love food... way too much. And I've had to really cut myself off completely from a lot of things that I adore so that I can finally do something about this movie-theater-job-induced-weight-gain. Enough is enough, I say. But you know, it's good for me. It is. Treats are healthy to have on occasion, and there is no reason to over indulge. Just makes the treats sweeter!

I've been making a big effort to cook every day so that I am not tempted to order copious amounts of take-out. And today, my lunch was excellent. I just have to share. Super healthy, and super delicious: 1 fried egg on brown rice topped with siracha, kale steamed with a dash of toasted sesame oil, and artichoke/olive hummus and carrot sticks. What could be better??
