Ladyfest is Fast Approaching!

It's almost here!! Three days of workshops and vendors and music, all celebrating ladies and their incredible role in DIY culture. I will be at the Flywheel both Saturday and Sunday selling cupcakes and whoopie pies from 12pm on (or until I sell out!). Get your butts out there!!

An interactive workshop exploring our day-to-day interactions via the framework of gender theory.

Kicking Ass In High Heels?: Examining Gender, Sexism and Feminism in Nearly a Century of Comic Book Superheroines lecture facilitated by Brandon Buehring - With images and fun trivia, we’ll explore issues of gender representation throughout the history of the mainstream comic book industry. The presentation will also highlight women comic book creators and will offer strategies and resources for fans interested in creating change within the industry.
