Ladies' Brunch

Today, some of my favorites came over for brunch. If you know me, you know I love whipping up a fancy meal and playing hostess. It's my way of spoiling the people that I love. And believe me, I have some beautiful, supportive, and inspiring friends. So they deserve to be spoiled. Plus, I got to spend some way-too-cute time with this sweet little Frenchie, Gogo!

We sipped lime and mint infused water, snacked on cranberry orange muffins, and had lovely conversation. The star of the menu was a decadent tartlette that takes about 10 minutes to make. Grab yourself some frozen puff pastry, and you're pretty much set with anything you might have in your fridge. 430 degrees on the oven for about 10-15 minutes (just until golden brown). We made ours with various combinations of goat cheese, vegan cheese (Daiya), roasted grapes, caramelized onions, grape tomatoes, and fresh thyme. But believe me, there are MANY things that would taste amazing. I am thinking some sauteed trumpet mushrooms and balsamic reduction next time, myself!
